Ceftriaxone IM (culture in addition to NAAT before treatment). Test of cure required.

Refer to SRH services if unable to (1) take bacterial culture in addition to NAAT before treatment (2) do partner notification (3) test of cure

If persisting symptoms/signs, then culture at least 72 hours after treatment and look for other co-infection. If asymptomatic, test 2W after treatment. Antibiotic resistance is now very high and this concerns all antibiotic used to treat Gonorrhoea.
