Two-step assessment & well suited to multicultural populations
Assessment of orientation and memory, including completion of the clock drawing test. Score of ≤4 suggests cognitive impairment. Scores of 5–9 are inconclusive and an informant-based questionnaire (Step 2) is needed.
Asks an informant 6 questions comparing how a person is now (in terms of memory, language, and some activities of daily living) with when they were well a few years ago. Score of 0–3 suggests cognitive impairment
